Agrilytics: Bringing Data to Farms

NCBC at UET Peshawar has actively pursued research remote sensing, data analytics and multimedia streaming. The objective of this R&D activity is to develop a cloud computing based land-use and change detection system using remote sensing to assist Planning Agencies, Governmentorganizations, environment monitoring agencies, individuals and organizations, to effectively obtain land-use and change detection statistics for planning and monitoring of the land surface and environment.

One product which came out of this research exercise has developed into a start-up, currently incubated at NIC Islamabad.

The startup named AgriLytics uses state of the art deep learning techniques to predict crop statistics in areas of interest, providing crop yield analytics. AgriLytics ensures delivery of Land Cover and Use Maps (LULC) with more than 97% accuracy.
